The Conversation Method is the shift from telling AI what to write to letting it interview you. Collaboration partner. Not ghostwriter.

Don’t command it.
Most people get AI writing wrong from the start. They tell it to write. It spits out something generic that doesn’t sound like them. That’s not a collaboration. That’s a vending machine.

Let it interview you.
Start with: “Ask me questions until you understand what I’m trying to say.” Answer out loud, or in messy notes. The good stuff is in the answers you didn’t know you had.

Keep the human spark.
When the draft comes back too polished, that’s a warning. Protect the lines that sound like you. AI is a mirror, not a mask. The spark is the one thing it cannot replicate.

Know when you’re done.
You’re done when the thing on the page is the thing you meant. Not when it’s perfect. Perfect is how books stay in drafts forever.
